There was a time that Norkus Foodtown and ShopRite Foodarama were viewed as the mega-stores/competition for the mom & pop groceries….just like the Freehold Raceway Mall drew customers from Monmouth Mall and more local department stores (most of which no longer exist). This is a very nice trail; the most convenient parking/access area from the Freehold/southern trail area is from the John L. Montgomery Home (Dutch Lane Road) parking area. It is well-signed from there.
