I just received a political mailer from the Right Choice True Repulicans. On it are details of their platform, contact telephone numbers and e-mail addresses, and some facts about their opposition which obviously don’t put them in a good light.
I went to the ’We Work For You’ web site to find information about the ’establishment’ RINO candidates and there is absolutely NO contact information whatsoever for the candidates.
Having received no mailers from the ’establishment’ candidates and there being no known published contact information, how is a voter supposed to find out more about their platform and principles?
To the casual observer, this seems an indication of ”more of the same” from the RINO establishment candidates. What is a voter supposed to do, wait around forever and hope to see them drive by throwing candy from a vehicle???

From what I understand, Chris Struben is willing to debate but Bob Luban is not.
Why would Bob not want to debate if he has such a stellar record and is not ashamed of his pension padding as he notes in today’s article?
Perhaps the incumbent Mayor should publicly state that if the two Republican candidates do not debate each other, then he shouldn’t even have to consider a debate between the winner and himself???
It just does not make sense that registered Republican voters have only the literature put out by the candidates to base their vote upon. Seeing the two gentlemen in a debate would certainly provide a forum where a more educated decision could be made.

Over the years I’ve come to know both Chris Struben and Bob Luban. Sometimes I’ve liked them, sometimes I haven’t. I think they both have some good ideas. It would only be right if they debated each other before the primary so registered Republicans may get a better idea as to who would be the [...]

I could not have scripted any better a posting for Tom to make to illustrate unequivocally how inept and out of touch he is, including his wildly false accusations and untruths.
I DO in fact support the True Republicans ticket against the establishment RINOs ticket because the real GOP ticket demonstrates so in their actions – not just some obscure alleged lip service frequently encountered in the municipal committee leadership backed ”moderate” ticket as they call themselves.
I am NOT in any way, shape, or form any sort of appointed voice or campaign committee leader. I have and will contribute in actions my part to help get good solid Republicans elected, but as for being a spokesperson that is just Tom’s stupidity for not checking the press releases and communications issued by those persons.
I do NOT take my marching orders from anybody, be it the municipal committee cronies of Tom or the county committee or the state committee – never mind any local campaign committee members or leadership. My actions are in accordance with the Republican platform and principles; thus I need no such direction otherwise. But that is not the NJ RINO way, so I can see why it causes such consternation amongst the moderate and left wings in the party.
Unlike Tom, I can prove each and every claim I have made in print or otherwise.
With regard to Obama being ineligible to serve as President, I for one cannot understand how people cannot read the Constitution, do a very small amount of research, then accurately even attempt to claim Obama can legitimately serve. I am proud of my published articles on the issue. I am proud to have gone all the way to the Supreme Court to stand by our Constitution and my many Oaths to defend our Constitution against all enemies. And, I absolutely despise jokers like Tom who conveniently forgot his alleged oath while he claims to have been a United States Marine. Shame on him!
Lastly, I have been published in many periodicals and publications. The Woodbridge InJersey blog column was a very good offer and I enjoy writing my articles. For Tom to state it is my first ever is such idiocy that I cannot even respond without falling off my chair laughing. And, again unlike Tom, I have a pretty good sized pile of copies of published articles, stories, reports, presentations, etc. to prove my contentions.
Also, unlike Tom, I have offered to meet him in person many times to clear up any misunderstandings. I have gone so far as to place him on my e-mail list so as to show him I have nothing to hide and stand by everything I state. Never once has Tom done the same in return other than perhaps a telephone message.
Please Tom, put the drink down and think about what you are posting so you don’t look more foolish then you have already proven – as if that were possible.
Unlike you, I am

Ken,
At least you have the courage to post your name and thoughts, unlike the others you and I described in previous postings.
As far as my comments to Tom, they are right on the money. I have witnessed such idiocy with my own eyes on numerous occassions – long before you became involved.
I’m NOT intolerant of, as you call them, ”moderate” Republicans. I am intolerant of the RINOs who refuse to abide and adopt the Republican Platform and those fair weather friends and wafflers who can’t even spell GOP. You show me one candidate who espoused Republican principles that I did not support. The problem is there is none. If you embraced and espoused Republican principles, I supported that candidate; end of story. If you displayed Conservative principles, I supported you even more.
So, my ”extreme bias and lack of willingness ro respect moderate Republican principles” is nothing more than political hogwash. Perhaps the real reason for you declining my invitation is you cannot articulate the platform, principles, and practices of the Republican Party and do not want to be embrassed in public? What a shame, the Republican voters deserve better.
Did you ever think that had the ’establishment’ picked choices for the party line ever been properly vetted by competent Republicans, there would be no dissension because they would have been legitimately screened and voted upon? But of course not. The result? Contested primaries and internal discord between the Conservative right and the moderate left. I respect a Democrat more than a RINO because at least they believe in their party’s mantra – no matter how wrong and against our views it is. Seems all our moderates are disgruntled Democrats who could not make it in the liberal left – because they behold none of their prinicples. Gee, sound familiar?

Tom, does it really matter? Really, does it?
When did you become the arbiter of the GOP?
Who died and left you in charge?
It is obvious the reason for the upstart in so many ’club’ and ’campaign’ off shoot web sites of the Woodbridge Republican Municipal Committee is the overwhelming unhappiness with its direction and leadership.
Take, for instance, your unwillingness to resolutely answer questions raised regarding your past experiences and actual conflicts in the information you provided at various times to different sources. When you didn’t answer questions and the local GOP stonewalled the questioners, they weren’t left any other options. Hence the web sites to get their information out in the public purview.
I’ve told you before, having unfortunately had first hand experience with the local RINOs and their absurdities – the so called ’Conservative’ sites are right on the money in their postings of the dealings going on at meetings and behind the door maneuvering. If untrue, whay has not one of the web sites suffered from any type of slander or defamation of character actions?
Answer= because they post the truth, and in this case the truth doesn’t just hurt – it is excrutiatingly painful; perhaps near death.
You should work so hard to get the ’establishment’ candidates to participate in a candidates forum or debate so at least the real Republicans can be informed and have an honest method to ascertain which candidate is the best for the party.
Otherwise, please spare us from your sermons.

The Right Choice for True Republicans candidates filed an apeal with Municipal Clerk John Mitch regarding the violation of N.J.S.A. 19:34-52 in that the WTRO {municipal committee} and/or MCRO {county committee} endorsed a slate of candidates before the primary election – in essence awarding them the ’county line’ and slogan. Election law in Title 19 clearly states in pertinent part that ”No state, county, or municipal committee of any political party shall prior to any primary election indorse the candidacy of any candidate for a party nomination or position.” Supposedly this has been kicked up to the County Board of Elections for a ruling. The Right Choice for True Republicans have done their homework and researched the case law – just goes to show you how backwards the current Republican In Name Only (RINO) executive boards are at our local and county levels. Can’t wait to see the decision …
