    CONNECTING THROUGH TEXTING KINGSWAY CHURCH

Connecting to Kingsway Church in Cherry Hill, New Jersey is as easy as entering 64842 to your cell phone end entering the word Kingsway.

Kingsway Church is connecting with their parishioners and the community at large using SMS (Short Message Service) technology more commonly known as ”texting.”

Lead Pastor Bryon White realized that just reading church announcements from the pulpit and mailing church bulletins are no longer effective ways in reaching their community’s fast-paced members who live electronic communications dependent lives.

More and more, he has heard people say “If you’re not texting my cell phone, I’m not getting the message,” said White. Church member Monday Osagie developed a system for Pastor White that is easy and economical.

Kingsway Church took a huge step in connecting with 77we, a leader in mobile marketing, to stay in touch electronically by creating keywords and QR Codes for the church to send and receive instantaneous messages via SMS texting to short code 64842 to thousands of people at the touch of a button.

“77we’s SMS technology is amazing, lightening fast and highly economical since Kingsway Church realized that expensive paper mailings are no longer practicable, nor good for the environment and will gradually become a thing of the past,” said Osagie.

Now, Kingsway Church has access to the very same technology you’ve seen on American Idol and heard advertised on the radio and TV.

Church members can now text “Kingsway” to short code 64842 to join the church’s text message distribution list and start receiving messages from the church on their cell phones.

Kingsway Church has once again chosen to be a leader in the community.

For more information on Kingsway Church, check out the church’s web site at http://www.kingswayag.com. For more information using texting for churches go to http://77we.com/kingsway-church-and-sms-text.html. To speak to Monday Osagie from 77we please text: ”Monday to 64842” or call him toll free at 800.688.9512.

SCHOPFER ACCEPTED TO UNITED STATES COAST GUARD ACADEMY INTRODUCTION MISSION

Matthew Clark Schopfer, a junior at Cherry Hill High School West has been selected to attend the United States Coast Guard Academy Introduction Mission (AIM) Summer Program in New London, Connecticut July 3rd through July 9th, 2011.

Selection for AIM is a holistic process which looks at a variety of factors in the student’s life. Weighed in the process are: the online application, personal statements, most recent high school transcript and an optional letter of recommendation (from a teacher/coach/advisor). On average, the most qualified 500 rising seniors will be selected for the AIM program.

With all the honor and tradition of a military academy, the Academy sustains an 8-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio and is set on a picturesque waterfront campus creating a traditional small college feel.

Cadets here devote themselves to an honor concept and go directly into positions of leadership in the U.S. Coast Guard, to work at sea, on land and in the air, in service to others.

OPRAH GUEST TO APPEAR AT CHERRY HILL HIGH SCHOOL EAST!

Texting and driving is something we have all done. It is something that everyone needs to stop doing and focus on the road!

While attending a Jewish youth group convention in Dallas, Texas in February, a woman and her fiance came and spoke to the 800 teens that were attending about texting and driving and her story of how her parents were killed in a car accident on their way back from her high school graduation.

The presentation that made 800 teenagers cry was so inspirational to me that I had to have them come to Cherry Hill. After weeks of emails and meetings with administrators I finally coordinated a date.

Jacy Good and Steve Johnson, who currently live in New York will travel all the way to Cherry Hill High School East on May 23rd, 2011. There will then be a presentation at the JCC in Cherry Hill from 7-9pm that night for any parent or member of the community who wants to hear the story. Then on May 24th, 2011 they will be giving a presentation at Cherry Hill High School West. They will be presenting their program titled “Hang Up and Drive.” Jacy Good has been a guest on Oprah and has appeared in People Magazine.

I would be glad to be contacted for more information or anything you would need from me to help this story become publicized and covered.

This is a presentation that will change the way you drive and help everyone to become safer drivers!

Feel free to contact me at jtuff5@gmail.com

Kingsway Church Hits a Chord with West Music

Kingsway Church donated three octaves of Schulmerich Hand Bells to help expand the repertoire of the nationally acclaimed music program at Cherry Hill High School West.

The hand bells with accessories have an approximate retail value of $10,000 and were discovered by Lead Pastor Bryon White in a church closet during spring cleaning. Since Kingsway Church features a live worship band during services the hand bells have sat unused for years. The West Choral Director, Ms. Jennah Delp, had to borrow bells for the Winter Concert and will feature the “new” bells in the Spring Concert.

Kingsway Church is located at the Corner of Chapel Avenue and Cooper Landing Road in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. For more information call Kingsway Church at 856.667.9098 or http://www.KingswayAG.com or email Info@KingswayAG.com to receive our weekly e-newsletter.
